WASHINGTON — Before the lights are out at NPE 1997, organizers plan an exhibit space drawing for their next major plastics event: Plastics USA 1998.
The space drawing is scheduled for Thursday, June 19, from 12:30-5 p.m. at McCormick South, Level 4, Room S401. Show officials said 80 percent of the exhibit space will be reserved at the drawing.
Plastics USA will be held Oct. 6-8, 1998, at the Lakeside Center at McCormick Place in Chicago, formerly known as McCormick East, Level 3. The show is held every three years and features plastics machinery and equipment, products and services, and technology for plastics producers, users and processors.
Plastics USA and its accompanying, complementary conference program are sponsored by the Society of the Plastics Industry Inc. in Washington and the Society of Plastics Engineers in Brookfield, Conn. Exhibit space will be assigned based on status of company membership in SPI as of May 15, and whether companies exhibited at previous Plastics USAs.
The most recent Plastics USA, in 1995, drew more than 500 exhibitors and 18,000 attendees. For information, call (202) 333-7966.
