CHICAGO—Battenfeld Extrusionstechnik GmbH is offering to boost pipe output with its new, compact twin-strand extrusion lines.
Battenfeld of Bad Oeynhausen, Germany, part of Battenfeld GmbH, says its new equipment is a great space saver.
The twin-strand lines consist of two take-off units and two saws combined in a single frame that can be integrated with existing assemblies. Assemblies can include caterpillar take-off units, caterpillar feed units, drives and saw units. Battenfeld said that for the first time in pipe extrusion, the lines use technology now common in profile extrusion for synchronizing the saw carriage feed with the speed of the take-off units using a chain and electromagnetic clutch.
Battenfeld Extrusion Technology is exhibiting at NPE Booths S1400 and S1800 in Chicago.
