MORRISTOWN, N.J.—AlliedSignal Inc. of Morristown will sell its PVC shrink film business to VCF Films Inc. of Howell, Mich.
VCF will acquire the Krystaltite brand name and will produce PVC shrink film in AlliedSignal's Pottsville, Pa., facility.
AlliedSignal will continue to own and operate the Pottsville plant for the manufacture of Capran nylon film, Capran Emblem biaxially oriented nylon film, Aclar fluoropolymer film and Oxyshield coextruded barrier film.
VCF bought machines, formulas and customer lists. AlliedSignal will retain the core business.
According to AlliedSignal, it sold the line because it was not bringing in enough money. It did not disclose the selling price.
