AKRON, OHIO — NPE 1997 is over, but coverage of what companies introduced at the show and other relevant news uncovered there continues.
In addition to extensive post-show coverage in the weekly pages of Plastics News, viewers can tap into some 200 NPE-related news and feature stories via Plastics News On the Web (http://www.plasticsnews.com).
These full-text stories are available free to all visitors to the ``News & Features'' area of our Web site's NPE special section, which will remain online till the end of July. We will continue to add new stories as our post-show coverage unfolds.
One of the features — accessible at http://www.plasticsnews. com/webstudy—is USA Chicago Inc.'s complete report detailing the results of the recent study of Internet usage trends within North America's plastics industry.
The study sheds light on how deeply the Internet has penetrated the everyday work lives of people in various segments of the plastics industry.
The project was conceived by USA Chicago and co-sponsored by AlliedSignal Plastics of Morristown, N.J.; the Society of the Plastics Industry Inc. of Washington; and Plastics News. DePaul University in Chicago conducted the research and analyzed the data.
The Internet study, though copyrighted material of USA Chicago, is available in a format online that can be captured and printed for personal use.
Questions about the Internet survey should be directed to Aaron Katz at USA Chicago: e-mail akatz @mcs.com or tel. (312) 444-9570.
