CHICAGO — Jackson Machinery Inc. introduced a new piece of equipment, the Fleximatic blow molding machine, at NPE 1997 in Chicago.
The Fleximatic is an intermediate-size accumulator blow molding machine using technology called Automated Work Cell, developed by Jackson. The machine employs in-machine trimming and finishing and features fast after-finishing tooling changeover capability. It is available in numerous clamp, extruder and accumulator head combinations and also features single- and dual-head configurations from a half-pound to 5-pound shot capacities.
The Fleximatic utilizes Bosch proportional hydraulics for repeatability during clamp transfer, and closed-loop accuracy on pushout and extruder screw speed. Standard features include a Barber/Coleman Maco 6500 control system and MAC manifold mounted pneumatic systems. It is available as a conventional accumulator blow molding machine with trimming and after-finishing options added later.
