CHICAGO - ESI-Extrusion Services Inc. introduced four downstream machines for extrusion lines at NPE 1997 in Chicago.
ESI's new servo-driven flycutter has a new cuttin head design for higher performance. The Akron, Ohio, firm claims the machine is cost-competitive with lower-performance mechanical clutch/brake flycutters. Its base price os $28,500.
The Super Quench uses evaporative spray water for high cooling efficiency and increased productivity. The cooling tank has snap-out, self-cleaning nozzles. The machine's base price is $8,850.
Accupunch can fabricate cutouts and notches, and multi-axis and angled end cuts. Its solid state programmable controller handles all machines actions, providing up to 60 cycles per minute at 100 feet per minute line speeds. Its base price is $39,500.
ESI's midduty dual belt puller can handle a variety of extrusion applications. Its smooth belt puller features a two-post "H" Frame design with outboard bearing support plate.
ESI also announced two new sales representatives: Fisher Sales Corp. of St. Charles. Ill., and CST Sales Team of Canyon Lake, Texas.
