EVANSTON, ILL. — Lustro Plastics Co. of Evanston is expanding capacity at its headquarters facility.
The 85,000-square-foot plant has seven extrusion lines, and will purchase an additional extrusion line this year. Lustro has not decided on a supplier.
The company plans to spend several hundred thousand dollars on the project, said Bob Crohan, product and marketing manager.
Crohan expects company sales, $50 million last year, to increase 15-20 percent with the expansion.
Lustro also has plants in Bedford Park, Ill., and Las Vegas. It operates 12 sheet extruders and three pelletizers, and employs 185.
