OAKLAND, CALIF. — Recycler and film extruder Amigo Bag Co. of Oakland had a fire Sept. 23 that destroyed an extrusion line and a 26,000-square-foot building.
According to a company spokesman, the fire started from a leaky propane tank and caused more than $3 million in damage.
The company cleans old bags and makes new bags out of polypropylene. The company has annual sales of $2 million. The firm will probably move into a facility outside the city, the spokesman said.
