MOUNT PROSPECT, ILL.—Hedstrom Corp. has completed its mid-September headquarters move from Pittsburgh to Mount Prospect, home of its recently acquired Ero Inc.
James Braeunig, vice president of operations for Hedstrom's plastics division in Ashland, Ohio, said about 50 employees now are located at the 30,000-square-foot Illinois facility. The move is part of Hedstrom's growth as a toy maker as its parent, Hicks, Muse, Tate & Furst Inc. of Dallas, a private investment firm, grooms it to go public.
Hedstrom purchased Ero in June for $200 million. The acquisition included the latter's Montreal-based Amav Industries, an injection molder of toys, and Priss Prints Inc., a Dallas manufacturer of printed wall adhesives that also is relocating to Mount Prospect.
