AKRON, OHIO — Supplier Search, Plastics News' global online directory, has gone live. It is being introduced officially at the Jan. 6-8 Western Plastics Exposition in Long Beach, Calif., and will be addressed in a Jan. 8 conference paper at WPE, titled ``Finding Customers on the Net.''
The new interactive product, created in conjunction with San Francisco's SupplyBase LLC, allows Internet users to employ a powerful search engine to search the centralized database of 15,000- plus company facilities for free.
The service's customized templates allow users to refine that search to help them find the plastics processor; designer; materials, equipment or service supplier; or secondary service provider that best meets their needs. For example, a user can specify such capabilities as molding specialty, size of processing machine, quality certification or geographic location.
Companies can be included in the database and gain a Web presence or complement their existing site by purchasing one of three levels of membership for an annual fee ranging from $250 to $1,800.
Users can access the service by entering the Plastics News On the Web site (http://www.plastics news.com) and clicking on the Supplier Search navigational button.
