CHEMICAL FABRICS & FILM ASSOCIATION INC. — Philip Tarullo was named president of the Cleveland-based group. He is president of LSI in Louisville, Ky., and vice president of Product Specialties Inc. in New Albany, Ind. Thomas Carstens Jr., president and chief executive officer of Butner, N.C.-based Athol Corp., was named second vice president of CFFA and will continue in his post as marketing committee chairman. John Givens of Sandusky, Ohio-based Sandusky Ltd. was named first vice president. CFFA informs and educates the public about the uses and benefits of chemical fabrics and film.
NORTON PERFORMANCE PLASTICS CORP. — Gerard Walsh was named president and chief operating officer of the Wayne, N.J., maker of specialty plastic products. Before joining Norton, Walsh was a business unit director for 3M Co.
RBW TECHNOLOGIES — Gary Tomblin joined the Evans City, Pa., firm as vice president of rotational molding products and services. He was material processing manager with Step2 Corp. RBW produces recycled rotomolding resins, including reprocessed resin, and provides toll processing services.
ROTONICS MANUFACTURING INC.—The Gardena, Calif., rotational molder named Ray Huntington its marketing manager, and Edward Anderson its manager of mergers and acquisitions, both new positions.
SHEET MEMBRANE AND COMPONENT SUPPLIERS TO THE COMMERCIAL ROOFING INDUSTRY — At its 16th annual convention in Indian Wells, Calif., Needam, Mass.-based SPRI elected new officers and directors for 1998. David Bailie, who is with thermoset roofing systems maker JPS Elastomerics Corp., was named president. Mark Boutelle of Johns Manville Corp. was named president-elect. Sarnafil Inc.'s Peter Davis will serve as vice president. Ken Wolford of Siplast was named treasurer, and Riaz Hasan of the Buildex division of ITW was named secretary. Carlisle SynTec Inc.'s John Clifton assumes the immediate past president role. Andre Desjarlais of Oak Ridge National Laboratory, and Dan Haas of DuPont Dow Elastomers LLC were elected to two-year terms as directors of the association. Irwin Gordon was named president and chief operating officer after serving as president of Suiza's Morningstar Foods Inc. subsidiary and executive vice president of Suiza Foods. L. Hollis Jones, Suiza's president and COO, was named an exclusive consultant to the company, focusing on acquisitions and strategic development. William Estes was named to the new position of president and COO of the Suiza Packaging Group. Estes joins Suiza from McKesson Corp., where he had been president and COO of its McKesson Carrollton operations.
