TEMECULA, CALIF. — Van Dorn Demag Corp. has opened an 8,000-square-foot customer service and demonstration center equipped with 10 injection molding machines with clamping forces of 28-300 tons.
Accessible to Southern California, the Temecula center will test molds for prospects and customers, trouble-shoot molding processes and give hands-on training classes on control operations, control maintenance and other topics. Products include Van Dorn Demag's HT series, HP series, ET series and Newbury vertical series.
Van Dorn Demag, a manufacturer and distributor of injection molding machinery, has centers in Strongsville, Ohio; Cheshire, Conn.; and Mooresville, N.C. Locations in Anaheim, Calif., and Phoenix demonstrate presses in conjunction with customers' facilities.
Joseph Fusckino was named regional sales manager for Southern California, with responsibility for the Temecula center.
The firm has appointed Sullivan Plastics Equipment Inc. of Whittier, Calif., as a Southern California sales representative, supplementing current representatives Progressive Equipment Sales of Corona, Calif., and Plastimex of San Diego.
Strongsville-based Van Dorn Demag is a unit of Mannesmann AG's plastics machinery group.
