OVERLAND, MO.—Owens Corning announced June 2 it will close its vinyl window fabrication plant near St. Louis by Sept. 30.
The Toledo, Ohio, building products giant will consolidate all of its window and patio fabrication operations at its Martinsville, Va., plant, according to a news release.
Nearly 150 unionized workers at the Overland plant will lose their jobs. The company said it is working on a severance package with the union.
Owens Corning took over the Overland facility when it bought Delsan Industries Inc. in 1995.
