MILWAUKEE — Gossen Corp. of Milwaukee has built a new lab at its main plant and added four new PVC profile extrusion lines at its Cartersville, Ga., facility.
Bob Simpson, executive vice president, said the new lab takes about 1,250 square feet of space in the Milwaukee plant. The lines run 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
``We had to purchase 12 new water and electrical lines to support the four new extrusion lines,'' he said.
Simpson said the extrusion lines will be used to make window profiles exclusively. The firm has added 14 employees to its total of 140 to help operate the lines.
Gossen sells PVC profiles for the window and door, weather strip, furniture, and building and construction markets. The firm reported 1997 sales of $25.1 million.
