BRAMPTON, ONTARIO — Blown film extrusion machinery supplier Brampton Engineering Inc. is boosting the size of its manufacturing and warehouse areas to accommodate growing demand for multilayer film lines.
Brampton President Bill Wybenga said his firm began occupying an additional 24,000 square feet of space the week of June 1, giving it a total of 91,000 square feet. He said the private firm's sales have increased about 50 percent in the past three years, mainly because of more orders for five-, seven-, eight- and nine-layer film lines. He declined to give details on the company's sales.
Wybenga said his firm's Streamlined Coextrusion Die technology is key to sales growth of the multilayer lines.
Brampton is in a leased facility in Brampton, and has access to more space when demand warrants. It now sublets the extra space.
Brampton exports about 90 percent of its production. Multilayer line sales recently surged to China, Latin America and Europe, according to the firm.
