AUTOMOTIVE INDUSTRY ACTION GROUP — The Southfield, Mich., trade group for automotive manufacturers and suppliers named Donald Hedeen director of Automotive Network Exchange. He had been director of architecture and standards for General Motors Information Systems and Services.
BUCKELL PLASTIC CO. INC.—Brian Schell, president and chief executive officer of the Lewistown, Pa., custom thermoformer was named a finalist in the manufacturing category of Ernst & Young LLP's entrepreneur of the year awards.
EUROPEAN PLASTICS CONVERTERS ASSOCIATION — The Brussels, Belgium-based group elected Victor Dierinckx of Solvay SA to a two-year term as EuPC president. He succeeds Joachim Eckstein, who was named a vice president. Emmanuel Paturle of Multibase also was named a vice president, and Kari Teppola was named treasurer. FCI AUTOMOTIVE — The Livonia, Mich.-based unit of Framatome Connectors International of Paris named Robert Cowley vice president of marketing and sales for its North American operations. FCI produces terminals, connector systems and insert molded automotive products.
FIX-CORP INTERNATIONAL INC. — The Beachwood, Ohio, holding company for subsidiaries Fixcor Industries Inc., Pallet Technology Inc., Poly Style Industries Inc. and Motor Oil Bottle Recovery named Roger Kittelson chief financial officer. Kittelson had been a partner with accounting firm Arthur Andersen. He replaces Andrew Press, who remains as director of Fix-Corp. In addition, Gary DeLaurentiis was promoted from vice president to president of the parent firm.
FLIP CHIP TECHNOLOGIES LLC — Bette Acker was named product marketing manager for flip chip wafer bumping, and Scott Barrett, product marketing manager for wafer-level chip scale packaging, at the Phoenix supplier of high-volume wafer bumping services and integrated-circuit packaging services for the semiconductor industry.
