AKRON, OHIO — Plastics News will present an event in November to help processor executives prepare for 1999 and beyond.
Plastics News' ``Executive Seminar: Forecast for 1999'' will include timely information on:
Risk-management products as a tool to reduce raw material pricing volatility.
The outlook for the economy.
Key end markets for plastics processors, including building and construction, packaging, automotive and electrical/electronics and business equipment.
Supply and demand of major resins, including polyolefins, PVC, polyesters, styrenics and engineering thermoplastics.
Speakers will include independent plastics industry analysts and consultants, and financial experts from Wall Street and academia.
``Processor executives already depend on Plastics News for fresh business and financial information. This seminar will offer information they need to prepare their companies for 1999,'' said Publisher Anthony Eagan. ``And with resin pricing being so volatile, processors need a more-thorough understanding of risk-management products.''
Chicago's Drake Hotel will host the event, scheduled for Nov. 17-19.
Cost of the seminar is $895 per person, including meals, special events and receptions. Plastics News is offering a $100 discount for attendees who register before Oct. 1.
