William Patient, chairman and chief executive officer of Geon Co. of Avon Lake, Ohio, saws a piece of vinyl siding as part of Habitat for Humanity International's Jimmy Carter Work Project, held June 14-20 in Houston. The Vinyl Ins titute, a division of the Washington-based Society of the Plastics Industry Inc., sponsored the Partnership for Humanity, made up of nearly 50 vinyl-product manufacturers and organizations. Vinyl Institute member companies sponsore d seven homes, while the partnership donated materials, cast and volunteers for about 100. The Vinyl Institute is based in Morristown, N.J.
