OMAHA, NEB. — Plas-Tech Inc. is adding a fourth blown film line so it can make its own wide film for captive bag production.
The Omaha-based firm plans to start the line in mid-October, according to part-owner Gary Jasek. It will assemble used parts from various sources to build the 41/2-inch extrusion line.
Plas-Tech makes a range of bags, including industrial box liners, from low density polyethylene. It has been purchasing wide film to make the large liners but decided it was cost-effective to extrude its own.
Jasek did not disclose the cost of the equipment.
Plas-Tech was established in 1991. Its sales last year were about $1.5 million.
