Colortronic presents Graviblend S feeder
Colortronic GmbH of Friedrichsdorf, Germany, has developed a low-rate gravimetric feeder, Graviblend S, with a feed rate of 0.28-31/2 ounces an hour.
The hopper and screw have quick-remove clamps, so the processor can change dosing stations and make color changes fast. A special damping system protects against vibrations.

Future Design offers Escort hauloff system
Future Design Inc. of Brampton, Ontario, offers the Saturn Escort film hauloff system, which collapses a bubble to a flat surface with no friction.
Future Design said there is no speed differential between the collapsing surface and the nip rolls, which are incorporated as part of the collapsing mechanism.

Intellicut provides fast blade changing
RDN Manufacturing Co. Inc. has introduced a microprocessor-controlled cutter that it says eliminates off-line trimming, reduces scrap and lowers costs.
The Intellicut Servo Cutter tracks puller speed and position, which reduces cut-length tolerances to near zero, the Bloomingdale, Ill., company claims. Common clutch brake technology uses mechanical blade activation, so it cannot anticipate the cutting stroke. Other features include a fast blade-change system that requires no tools and a touch-screen control.

Blender line features four feeding hoppers
Piovan srl has introduced a line of compact gravimetric blenders equipped with four feeding hoppers so that four different materials can be used.
In the MDW30, the hoppers can be pulled out easily for cleaning. The MDW50 can be inspected from the sides and the top.
Accurate dosing comes from pneumatic slide gates and precision augers. A controller automatically corrects the dosing quantities to avoid variances.
