CHICAGO — Maguire Products Inc. introduced miniature hopper receivers at Plastics USA, held in Chicago.
The units feature metering precision, a small footprint, affordability and efficiency, according to the company.
``These receivers are so small that they are also ideal for mounting directly at the processing machine throat or for loading other small auxiliaries with limited mounting space, such as feeders,'' Stephen Maguire, president of the company, said in a news release.
Each filterless minireceiver has a volume of 1.1 pounds, vs. 10 pounds for the larger receiver available in the Clear-Vu loading system.
As many as eight minireceivers can be employed in each loading system to convey pellets or regrind to processing machines, and as many as four of the lightweight hopper receivers can be mounted on a single Micro-Blender unit.
Maguire is headquartered in Aston, Pa., and claims to be the world's largest supplier of gravimetric blenders and liquid-color pumps.
The company also manufactures loading systems, granulators, auger feeders and related equipment.
