SAN ANTONIO — Thiokol Propulsion's TCR Composites Division of Ogden, Utah, has extended its line of high-glass-transition-temperature epoxy resins with a new formulation for aerospace, satellite, rocket motor and commercial aircraft applications.
``This new Tg resin has a cure temperature of 350° F and a glass-transition temperature of 330°-350° F,'' Craig Schiffman, TCR Composites manager of marketing and sales, said at Composites '98 in San Antonio. Development work began in late 1997.
The line of thermosetting epoxy matrix resins has a one-year shelf life without refrigeration and is available with various fibers. Thiokol Propulsion is a subsidiary of Cordant Technologies Inc.
