AUGROS INC. — The Clark, N.J., injection molder named Louis Coppola director of sales. He had been general manager of Preface Plastics. Thomas Delach was named technical director for the firm and also will serve as U.S. representative of the international research and development committee of Augros Cosmetic Packaging.
C&H PACKAGING CO. INC. — The Merrill, Wis., flexible packaging converter named Steven Moore president. Moore had been western regional manager for Cryovac North America.
CAMBRIDGE INDUSTRIES INC. — The Madison Heights, Mich.-based automotive supplier named Pat Pavelka president of its Industrial Products Group. He had been president of Cambridge Industries' Interior Business unit. Donald Makie was named executive vice president of continuous improvement and lean manufacturing, a new position. Makie comes to the firm from Lear Corp.
FIX-CORP INTERNATIONAL INC. — The Beachwood, Ohio-based holding company for subsidiaries Fixcor Industries Inc., Pallet Technology Inc., Poly Style Industries Inc. and Motor Oil Bottle Recovery named David Swank chief executive officer. He succeeds Mark Fixler, who founded the firm and previously served as both chairman and CEO. Fixler continues in his role as chairman. Swank had been with Akron, Ohio-based Telxon Corp. where he was executive vice president of corporate development as well as senior vice president and chief financial officer.
GI PLASTEK — The Elyria, Ohio-based custom molder named Bryan McCarthy manager of its Bellville, Ohio plant. He had been production manager for the firm's plant in Marysville, Ohio. McCarthy succeeds Bob Cunningham, who was named a special project manager for the firm's injection business unit. Jim Smith was named GI Plastek production manager in Bellville. He had been a project manager there.
HANCOR INC. — Steven Anderson was named acting president and chief executive officer of the Findlay, Ohio, pipe extruder. He replaces Dail Herman, who left the company to pursue a business acquisition.
NUCON CORP. — The Deerfield, Ill., molder named David Winborn a sales and marketing engineer.
OSMONICS INC. — The Minnetonka, Minn.-based manufacturer of water purifying equipment and components named Robert Geiselman general manager of its Minnetonka operations.
PACKAGING MACHINERY MANUFACTURERS INSTITUTE — The Arlington, Va.-based trade association has named Ben Miyares vice president of industry relations. Miyares is currently editor and publisher of Ben Miyares' Packaging Management Online and Ben Miyares' Packaging Management Update, as well as president of BDM Communications Inc., a packaging market research and communications firm. PMMI will acquire and publish the Packaging Management titles. Miyares will continue to edit both publications while leading outreach efforts between global packaging interests and PMMI.
