LONG BEACH, CALIF. — Simco Industrial Static Control now molds its high-performance Viper-brand ionizing air gun with RTP Permastat 2500, a static-dissipative blend of polycarbonate and ABS.
Simco displayed the gun at its Western Plastics Expo exhibit in Long Beach, held Jan. 12-14.
For many years, Simco made the air gun of a fire-retardant PC with stainless-steel hardware until introducing the new model in mid-1998. Simco maintained the list price for the redesigned gun and power supply at $675.
The Viper's high blow-off force and low air consumption cleans product and provides maximum static charge decay in medical manufacturing and packaging, precision parts assembly and particulate removal in optics. Simco of Hatfield, Pa., is a division of Illinois Tool Works Co.
