Milacron uses Web to peddle its wares
CINCINNATI, OHIO — Milacron Inc. is selling its industrial products on the Internet at its new Web site, www.milpro.com.
Milacron's Industrial products business makes products such as drill bits and metal-cutting fluids. Milacron is selling more than 50,000 items on the Internet.
Milacron, based in Cincinnati, contracted with Open Market Inc. of Burlington, Mass., an Internet commerce provider.
Milacron also makes plastics machinery. Currently, the Plastics Technologies Group is not using the Internet for direct sales.
In other news, Milacron's industrial products division bought German high-speed drill and steel end mills maker, Werkzeugfabrik GmbH in Konigsee, which has two subsidiaries, a tool distributor and a unit that makes taps.
Milacron announced it is creating a network of trucks to deliver metal-working supplies to U.S. customers.
RDN Manufacturing Co. Inc. in Bloomington, Ill., which makes saws, pullers and cutters for extrusion, has announced the Peer Group (Polymer Extrusion Equipment Resource Inc.) is the company's exclusive sales representative in Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, part of Indiana and North and South Dakota.
