MENOMONEE FALLS, WIS. — Roy Jablonka, president of film manufacturer Glenroy Inc., has been chosen as the 1999 Converter of the Year. He will receive the award during an April 13 ceremony at the Converting Machinery/Materials Conference and Exposition in Chicago.
The CMM Converter of the Year is selected by a panel made up of editors of major converting magazines and other industry experts. The award is given to a converter, supplier, educator or consultant who significantly has advanced converting technology, business practices, industry education or standards development.
Jablonka is being recognized for his innovation in thermal laminating films and printed flexible packaging materials, as well as his innovative business practices.
He founded Menomonee Falls-based Glenroy in 1965. With more than $40 million in sales for the fiscal year ended Sept. 30, 1997, the company serves the personal-care, food, medical and pharmaceutical industries.
