DLH Industries to add production space
DLH Industries Inc. of Canton, Ohio, will add almost 7,500 square feet of production space in 1999, a year after adding 12,000 square feet at the same site.
A 2,400-square-foot expansion was completed last month, while another 5,000 square feet will be added by the year's end, DLH systems manager Lee Randolph said.
DLH assembles plastics systems such as windshield wipers. It also runs 10 injection presses and two extrusion lines.Much of the company's injection molding work is used internally in automotive uses such as HVAC systems and neck and back supports.
DLH ranked 93rd in Plastics News 1998 North American pipe, profile and tubing ranking with $15 million in relevant sales. Total sales at DLH, which employs 600, reached $22 million last year.
Polaris establishes memorial scholarship
Polaris Plastics Inc. has set up a scholarship fund in memory of founder John Foster, who died last month.
The John Foster Memorial Fund is intended to provide college funds for the children of employees of the Rancho Dominguez, Calif., dip molding firm.
Foster founded Polaris in the late 1960s. The firm employs 60.
Donations to the fund can be sent to Polaris at 18704 S. Ferris Place, Rancho Dominguez, CA 90220
