MONTREAL — Twinpak Inc. changed its name to Amcor Twinpak-North America Inc., effective April 15.
The Montreal-based company's parent firm, Amcor Ltd. of Melbourne, Australia, is incorporating the Amcor name into most of its businesses around the world. Amcor has owned Twinpak since 1989.
Amcor Twinpak also renamed its operating units: Its beverage packaging business now is Amcor Pet Packaging; the flexible packaging unit is Amcor Flexibles; and Amcor Plastube is the new name for its plastic tube business.
Cello Bag Inc.'s flexible packaging business in Bowling Green, Ky., now is part of Amcor Flexibles.
Amcor's sales last year were A$6.1 billion (US$3.87 billion).
