KNOXVILLE, TENN. — Moll Industries Inc. is unifying its European operations under one executive to help it manage growth on the continent.
Moll appointed Jean-Jacques de Boissieu to the newly created position of president of its European operations, which include seven plants in France, one in England, another in Germany and a tooling operation in Portugal. De Boissieu formerly was responsible for operations in France and Portugal. Officials responsible for England and Germany will report to de Boissieu.
De Boissieu said Moll's European sales exceed $130 million, more than a third of the firm's revenue. Moll, a processor whose capabilities include injection and blow molding, employs 1,200 in Europe. Moll Chairman George Votis said a central post in Europe will allow Moll to leverage capabilities from all its facilities.
Spokesman Robert Cathey said he does not expect any other major management changes or any plant closings in the reorganization.
Last month Knoxville-based Moll boosted its design and development team by acquiring three facilities from Compression Engineering Inc.
