Scioto Technologies touts new equipment
A saw from Scioto Technologies Ltd. of Marysville, Ohio, can cut corrugated polyethylene pipe running at speeds of up to 20 feet a minute.
The company makes other downstream equipment. A trim saw mounted on the conveyor/trim/laydown station cuts the bell. Another device removes scrap after the bell is cut. The pipe gets weighed, counted and lowered onto a cart of the floor. The company also supplies a perforator.
The Diamond Stream-brand equipment also cuts straight pipe.
Scioto Technologies said Quality Convert of Wausau, Wis., is the first pipe maker to install Diamond Stream equipment. The company bought two lines. One line cuts pipe up to 36 inches in diameter.
