ASSESSE, BELGIUM—M.A. Hanna Co. has carried out a major reorganization in Europe, establishing three distinct business units, each with a wider product range as well as its own sales, marketing and technical support operations.
The European units include:
Engineered Materials Europe in Gaggenau, Germany, headed by Hans-Jurgen Ott. The unit offers engineered materials for markets including automotive, electronics and consumer products.
Color Europe in Assesse, headed by Bernard Baert. The unit provides specific color and additive systems for industries including building and construction, cosmetics, electrical/electronics, automotive, packaging and consumer durables. Its products include nylon, polybutylene terphthalate, polypropylene and thermoplastic elastomers.
Wire & Cable Polymer Systems, based in Assesse and led by Philippe Francois. The unit supplies compounds to the worldwide cable and wire industry.
``To best serve the needs of customers throughout Europe, each group will focus on its specific markets, based on its experience and working in partnership to provide real technical solutions,'' Cleveland-based Hanna announced in a news release.
The broader engineered product range of TPEs among the units results from Hanna's 1998 partnership with Bifan SA, the holding company that controls So.F.Ter SpA of Forli, Italy.
