PAWCATUCK, CONN. — Dragan A. Djordjevic, an extrusion specialist who worked for Davis-Standard Corp., died June 5 of heart failure at his home in Mystic, Conn. He was 62.
Davis-Standard said the Yugoslavia-born Djordjevic recently had relocated from Germany to Pawcatuck to become chief process consultant at the technical center at company headquarters.
Before that, he served as research and development manager for ER-WE-PA Davis-Standard GmbH in Erkrath, Germany, for 20 years.
Davis-Standard said Djordjevic was recognized as a process expert, problem solver and teacher. He had five patented inventions and had published more than 70 technical papers. He also wrote a book titled Coextrusion.
The funeral and burial were in Germany, the company said.
