AKRON, OHIO (Aug. 3, 4:50 p.m. EDT) — The building and construction markets are convulsing with change as leading supplier companies swallow one another and jockey for position.
Two plastic product makers making such waves are CertainTeed Corp., North America's second-largest profile extruder, and Eagle Pacific Industries Inc., which says its recently announced plans to purchase Pacific Western Extruded Plastics Co. will make it the second-largest PVC pipe maker in the United States.
Top executives from both firms will participate in Plastics News' Executive Forum 2000 in Lake Buena Vista, Fla., this fall. Brad Mattson, executive vice president of the Valley Forge, Pa.-based CertainTeed, and William Spell, chief executive officer of Minneapolis-based Eagle Pacific, each will tell attendees about their views of key trends and issues in the volatile building and construction markets at the forum's Oct. 16 morning session.
You may register online via the Forum section of our Web site, or receive more details by contacting Nancy Parks in Akron at (330) 865-6134 or by e-mail at [email protected].
