Bob Schulz has responsibility for LNP's worldwide operations. Exton, Pa.-based LNP, a leading producer of high-performance thermoplastic composite materials, is a subsidiary of Tokyo's Kawasaki Steel Corp.
After serving in research, technical service, sales and market development positions with American Cyanamid and Celanese, Schulz joined LNP in 1966 as a technical representative. He subsequently advanced through several management positions, and was vice president and director of sales and marketing when LNP was acquired in 1976 by Beatrice Foods.
In 1978, he was promoted to VP and assistant general manager, and then to president and general manager in 1981. LNP was acquired by London's Imperial Chemical Industries plc in 1985. Two years later Schulz was named general manager, Americas, for the Engineering Plastics segment of ICI Advanced Materials, comprising LNP, fluoropolymers and Victrex high-temperature polymers. He assumed his current position in November 1991, when LNP was acquired by Kawasaki Steel.
Schulz has a bachelor of science degree in chemical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and an MBA from City College of New York. He is a member of several professional organizations in the plastics field, and has been published widely.
He resides with his family in Berwyn, Pa.
