Rick Durham has served as president and chief executive officer of Huntsman Packaging Corp. since early 1997. He also serves on the board of directors for the privately held, Salt Lake City-based firm.
Huntsman Packaging began operations in 1992, with the acquisition of Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co.'s Film Products Division. After several additional acquisitions, Huntsman ranks as one of North America's largest producers of film and flexible packaging products with annual revenues of approximately $800 million.
In the fall of 1997, Huntsman Packaging was separated from Huntsman Corp. in a tax-free reorganization. Durham and his wife, Christena, together with Jon M. Huntsman, own all of Huntsman Packaging's outstanding voting shares.
Prior to his current post, Durham served in a number of positions with Huntsman Corp., most recently as co-president and chief financial officer. In that role, he had responsibility for mergers and acquisitions, finance, accounting, information systems, research and development, purchasing, human resources, public relations and for Huntsman Packaging.
Durham also serves on the board of directors of Huntsman Corp. and as a trustee of both the Jon and Karen Huntsman Foundation and The Huntsman Cancer Foundation.
A graduate of The Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania, he currently serves on the graduate executive board for The Wharton School. Durham enjoys spending time with his wife, Christena, and their seven children. He also enjoys skiing, cycling, golf, boating, scuba diving and reading.
