In his role as VP of information technology for Nypro Inc., Mike MacKenty recently completed overseeing the Y2K computer transition for a company with 5,500 people at 24 molding locations in 11 countries.
He also is responsible for Nypro's global supply-chain initiative, which includes expanding the firm's Internet presence into intranet (internal to Nypro) and extranet (between Nypro and customers) capabilities for 2000.
MacKenty is a graduate of Union College and received his MBA from Harvard School of Business. After working for General Electric Capital and a TJMaxx retail business, he was senior manager, worldwide operations systems for Motorola Inc., and corporate director of information services for Instron Corp.
One year ago he joined Nypro, a $400 million injection molder and contract manufacturer based in Clinton, Mass.
