Tom Condon is responsible for leading the efforts to market, sell and implement the portfolio of buy-side, sell-side and marketplace products and services offered by Digital Grainger, a unit of Chicago-based W.W. Grainger Inc.
His team consults with organizations seeking an online procurement solution for the types of indirect materials — maintenance, repair and operating (MRO) industrial supplies — that Grainger sells, and then helps those customers to develop and implement an appropriate purchasing strategy.
Previously, Condon was part of the senior management team of Grainger Custom Solutions, a start-up division whose mission is to deliver indirect-materials solutions for Fortune 500 clients. At Custom Solutions, he was director of information services and was responsible for implementation of the unit's enterprise resource planning software and development of its e-procurement capabilities.
Condon is a 14-year Grainger veteran who has held progressive sales and sales management positions within Grainger Industrial Supply and its national account organization.
