ALUSUISSE COMPOSITES INC. — David Meacham has been named corporate marketing services supervisor at the sheet manufacturer's St. Louis head office. The company is a unit of Alusuisse-Lonza Group Ltd. of Zurich, Switzerland. BRITAX INTERNATIONAL PLC — The manufacturer of automobile rearview mirrors, aircraft interiors and child safety seats has named David Newlands chairman. He replaces Michael Stoddart, who is retiring in May. Newlands has been a nonexecutive director of Warwick, England-based Britax since March 1999.
CAMBRIDGE INDUSTRIES INC. — John Sieg has been named vice president of marketing and communications for the Tier 1 supplier to automakers. He had been manager of marketing sales and service operations with Ford Motor Co. Cambridge is based in Madison Heights, Mich.
DANISCO FLEXIBLE — The packaging division of Copenhagen, Denmark-based Danisco A/S has named Kaj Taidal president of its Scandinavian region, with responsibility for the local market and Danish production units. Taidal, who will be based in Horsens, Denmark, will assume his new position in February. Paul Bjerring has been named executive vice president of Danisco Flexible's Scandinavian region, in charge of sales, logistics and information technology. Didier Teirlinck has resigned as president of the southwestern Europe region of Danisco Flexible. Tue Tyge MMller, executive vice president of Danisco Flexible, will act as his replacement, and will be based in Barbezieux, France.
LOW & BONAR PLC — Two directors of the Dundee, Scotland-based packaging and plastics molding group, Ian Carter and Jon Marx, have resigned following a review by Low & Bonar's Group Chief Executive Phil Reeder. Carter was managing director of the firm's specialist materials group, while Marx was managing director of L&B's packaging group. Both divisions will report directly to Reeder.
PLM AB — Lars Emilson, managing director of the Malm", Sweden-based packaging group, has been named an executive director of Rexam plc of London, PLM's new parent company.
POLYGAL U.S.A. INC. — The Janesville, Wis.-based manufacturer of polycarbonate structured sheet has named Jeffrey DuCharme Eastern territorial sales manager. DuCharme will be based in Pittsfield, Mass.
SCHMALBACH-LUBECA AG — The Ratingen, Germany-based packaging group has appointed Georg Kosing chief financial officer. Kosing has held a number of senior management posts at the company's parent, Viag AG, and its associated companies.
VENTRA GROUP INC. — Richard Stanley has been named president and chief operating officer and R. John McFarlane has been named general counsel of the Tier 1 automotive supplier. Stanley had been executive vice president of Ventra Plastics.
DUPLICRAFT INC., the Schaumburg, Ill., manufacturer of extrusion blow mold tooling, has named Darold Faurot president and chief operating officer. ... John O'Neill has been named managing director of DISTRUPOL UK, the British arm of Distrupol, a part of Ellis & Everard plc. He replaces Steve Bradbury, who has become chief executive officer of Distrupol Europe.
