U.S. Plastic Lumber Ltd. of Boca Raton, Fla., has inked a deal for Georgia-Pacific Corp. to distribute USPL's SmartDeck composite decking.
Since SmartDeck's introduction to the market last year, USPL has built a distribution base of only 14 distributors to serve all 50 states.
Atlanta-based Georgia-Pacific will add 76 more distribution outlets to that list.
"This is a very big thing for USPL because of [Georgia Pacific's] extensive network of distributors," said Mark Alsentzer, president and chief executive officer of USPL.

Kroy Building Products Inc. plans to add another 30,000-40,000 square feet of space to its facility in York, Neb., President and Chief Executive Officer John Forbis said.
The expansion will be completed within the next six months, raising capacity by 40 percent, Forbis said.
He declined to share specifics about new machinery.
Trex rail posts made from PE composite
Trex Co. LLC has introduced polyethylene composite rail posts to accompany its decking planks, and plans for expansion at the firm's newest plant are under way.
"We have a complete [decking] system now," spokeswoman Maureen Murry said.
Capacity will be added at the Fernley, Nev., plant this year. Two additional extruders will be installed next month and two more will be in by the end of the year, she said. Trex is based in Winchester, Va.
