WOOD DALE, ILL. — Bruce L. Freeman stepped down as president of auxiliary equipment maker AEC Inc. earlier this month. "I resigned on Feb. 9 to pursue some other opportunities," said Freeman, contacted at home. The company announced the news to employees on that day, which was Freeman's last day of work.
Until a successor is named, the position of AEC president is being filled by Bart Aitken, according to Paul Wagman, a spokesman for AEC's parent company, Harbour Group Ltd.
Aitken is a group vice president at Harbour, a St. Louis holding company that owns manufacturing firms.
