U.S. consumption of polymers in electronics applications accounts for more than $5.6 billion in annual sales, and is growing 5 percent yearly, according to a report from Skeist Inc. in Whippany, N.J. The electronics industry is an important outlet for some four dozen types of polymers, expecially for high-performance, high-cost types. The report, "Polymers in Electronics II," includes a competitive analysis of 70 leading suppliers of polymer electronic products, with at least $10 million in annual sales.
