Budzar Industries Inc. has built a 25,000-square-foot addition at its factory in Willoughby, Ohio, where the firm makes chillers, cooling towers and mold-temperature controllers. Budzar now has 70,000 square feet of space — 60,000 for manufacturing and 10,000 for offices, said President Dave Young.
The increased factory area will help create a smooth-flowing assembly process, he said. The expansion is dedicated to making, testing and stocking of Budzar's portable water and oil heating and cooling systems, and a new product: negative-pressure temperature-control systems.
A special production area will make Budzar's standard lines more efficiently, so the company can delivery them in days instead of weeks, the firm said.
Young said Budzar spent $800,000 on the expansion, which was completed in January.
Sales have grown 15-20 percent a year, Young said. The company, founded in 1973, employs 85.
