Yushin America Inc. has rolled out two sprue-picker robots and updated its hand-held AN controller.
The tiny mini-HopIII robot runs on injection presses with clamping forces of just 10-30 tons. It is designed to be mounted on narrow platens with small strokes. Yushin of Cranston, R.I., will show the mini-HopIII at NPE 2000.
Yushin also introduced the ATM-120 takeout robot for presses with as much as 300 tons of clamping force. An alternating-current servo motor gives the traverse axis the same stopping precision of other Yushin servo-driven robots. Air powers the main arm and kick axis.
Yushin engineers have made the AN controller easier to handle and use. The AN includes storage for 10 setups.
