ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, ILL. — Material distributor and service provider Composites One of Arlington Heights has acquired Lake Erie Fiber Glass Supply Inc. of Ashtabula, Ohio. Terms were not disclosed. Lake Erie Fiber Glass employs seven, occupies a 25,000-square-foot facility and distributes polymer composite materials to fabricators and molders in parts of Ohio, Pennsylvania and New York. Ron Koproski founded the firm in 1991 and continues as president.
The April 28 deal combines a sales and service team in the region and provides Lake Erie Fiber Glass with additional resources, Steve Dehmlow, chief executive officer of Composites One, said in a statement.
Composites One has 33 stocking locations in North America and offers more than 1,000 products from more than 200 material suppliers. Composites One also customizes logistics services, reviews technical applications and assists with regulatory compliance.
GLS Corp. and Total SA's Cook Composites & Polymers unit formed Composites One in April 1999 to link the operations of the GLS Composites Distribution Corp. unit, CMI/Composite Materials Inc. and RP Associates.
