BUENOS AIRES, ARGENTINA — Krupp Werner & Plfeiderer GmbH has opened an office in Sao Paulo, Brazil, to coordinate direct sales and service of its compounding extruders in Brazil and other South American nations. Jurgen Klaus, a 10-year veteran of Krupp W&P, moved from Germany to Brazil to open the office last fall. The German native speaks Portuguese.
The Brazil office reports to company headquarters in Stuttgart, Germany.
Mark Mulone had served as Latin America sales manager for Krupp W&P's U.S. operation in Ramsey, N.J. His new responsibilities include the company's division making machines for color concentrates/masterbatch for the North American market, and sales management for Mexico and the company's new office in Cleveland.
Mulone and Klaus attended Argenplas 2000.
People in Sao Paulo can react more quickly to local needs, Mulone said at the Buenos Aires show. "Business got strong enough that we need to support it much bigger, much faster," he said.
