Cyro Industries is touting a new acrylic molding compound for digital versatile disc replication.
Acrylite DQ 501 can store data with high quality and offers reduced material costs compared with polycarbonate, according to the Rockaway, N.J., firm.
The new compound has low birefringence, high light transmittance, high surface hardness and high elastic modulus and allows precise mold surface reproduction.
