BRUSSELS, BELGIUM—The European Plastics Converters has re-elected Victor Dierinckx president and Joachim Eckstein a vice president. Eckstein also is director of the environment and product safety for plastics and films for Hoechst AG's InfraServ GmbH & Co. affiliate in Frankfurt, Germany.
The federation of trade groups elected its steering committee for the coming year during Plastics Forum 2000 in Brussels.
Other officers elected include Kari Teppola, managing director of the Finnish Plastics Industries Federation, as a vice president, and Hans van den Doel, managing director of Sengewald Verpackungen GmbH of Halle, Germany, as treasurer. Committee members elected were Jean-Jacques Tchikladze, president of the French plastics association Federation de la Plasturgie; Peter Davis, British Plastics Federation director general; Eva Greive of Greive GmbH & Co. of Senden Ottmarsbocholt, Germany; Ingemar Bjorklund of KWH Pipe Sverige AB of Hagersten, Sweden; and Alberto Schiavi of Crespi Giovanni SpA in Legnano, Italy.
Marcel de Botton of Cascais, Portugal-based Logoplaste SA and president of the Portuguese group Associacao Portuguesa da Industria de Plasticos, was re-elected honorary president.
