Eight new members of the Plastics Hall of Fame will be honored June 22 during a banquet at the Chicago Hilton & Towers, in one of the highlights of NPE 2000. Frank Popoff, chairman of Dow Chemical Co., will be the keynote speaker. Popoff will receive the Dan Fox Lifetime Achievement Award.
New inductees include experts on blow molding, foamed plastics and sheet extrusion, a trade association activist, two leading academicians, a resin supersalesman and the leader of one of the largest U.S. custom injection molding firms.
Information on each new member will be displayed in Leominster, Mass., at the National Plastics Center & Museum, where the hall is based. The Plastics Academy administers the Plastics Hall of Fame.
Tickets to the banquet at NPE cost $125 per person, or $110 per person for a table of 10. The banquet begins at the Hilton with a cocktail reception at 6:30 p.m. Dinner follows at 7:30 p.m.
Tickets are being sold at NPE, at a booth set up in the McCormick Place Grand Concourse.
