CHICAGO (June 19, 9 a.m. EDT) — Van Dorn Demag Corp. (Booth S3300) has released details on its new customer center, a 76,000-square-foot "molder action network" facility scheduled to open in October.
The building will be about one mile from Van Dorm Demag headquarters in Strongsville, Ohio. The company now handles customer service out of two operations in the Cleveland area.
"Parts, (retrofits and upgrades), service, training and the process solutions center will be within reach by making one call at one location," said program director Al Tolliver. The building also will handle mold trials.
A new call center will funnel calls to certain technicians based on their expertise. The telephone and customer database systems will be linked to give technicians information about the customer on a computer screen as the call is received.
The building also will serve as the hub for Van Dorn Demag's new WebStar system, which will track service via the Internet.
