CHICAGO (July 12, 12:30 p.m. EDT) — Cinpres Ltd. said its electrically actuated nozzle for gas-assisted injection molding — demonstrated for the first time at NPE 2000 — is the icing on the cake for a true all-electric injection press.
The patented gas nozzle was fitted on a 200-ton Ube injection press. Cinpres is targeting the nozzle to key markets for all-electric presses, such as clean-room molding, medical and electronics.
According to the company, the electric nozzle retains all the features of its retractable gas injection nozzles, which enable a high rate of gas flow into and out of the molded part with no blockage. The electric nozzle is fully integrated into the Cinpres Full Shot unit, so that gas injection settings can be centrally controlled.
Cinpres demonstrated melt manipulation at its NPE booth.
Cinpres also displayed a Nitrogenerator, a machine that generates nitrogen and serves as an air compressor and an air amplifier all in one compact unit.
